It's awesome enough for its own discussion thread.

Basically they got them to do an anime-style trailer for the game, only it looks way better. It also gave a fair bit of info on the games if one pays attention.

It got leaked early so a bunch of links got quickly blocked by Pokemon people to be Japan only, but as of posting this link works (if it doesn't just google away) - http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xqu...omo_videogames

And a translation by Adam Ant of sppf, as I figure some people may find it interesting.

Quote:

Enjoy:

Natural: I wonder what kind of path you and your Pokemon aim for?

*Scene change*

B2W2 Rival: Alright! We're on our way to receive our Pokemon!

B2W2 Protagonist: Yup!

Protagonist: And you are....?

DD(Different Dimension) Bel: Ahhh, I'm so Glad we could meet! *Giggles* Ta-daaa~ Inside this is the Pokemon you will partner with.

*Scene Change*

Akuroma: [kano?] Team Plasma was there. Accepting the possibilities Pokemon possess, they say Pokemon should be released from humanity's control. That, is not my way of thinking.

*Scene Change*

Kamitsure: Welcome to this stage! My beloved Pokemon, and your Pokemon........which shall truly shine? Let's (find out) here(and now)! Note. she says ''koko de something-mashou'' not too sure, but what I used fits, I guess.

*Scene Change*

Habunake-Plasma Girl: *Laughter* Let me congratulate you, for reaching this far; but, given there are so many of us present here, kindly consider surrendering.

B2W2 rival: I'll say this much; I'm starting to get angry...

Gym Leader Cheren: Tch, they're only troublesome due to their number of them present.

B2W2 rival: This will end quickly.....so lend me your power.

B2W2 Protagonist: You got it!

Snake Plasma Girl: Habunake, Bite attack!

Protagonist: Windie, we'll also use Bite!

Rival: Daikenki, Ice Beam!!

*Scene Change*

Protagonist: Wait!! Rucario, Aura Sphere!!

Ninja Bad Guy: No matter what tactics you use, I've achieved the objective[of the mission].

General things we can get back - N is back as is Shadow Triad who are actually doing notable things. Scientist dude (Akuroma) seems fairly interesting, Belle giving you your starter is extra confirmed while Cheren fights with you and your rival on a boat against newly designed Plasma members. Also Elesa got an outfit change too, and a fancy battling place with a crowd.

But to sum up how nice it looks:

So, as we are slowly posting more entries on the magazine, the amount of things to look through to find what you're interested increases. That's why it's very important that everyone who posts in the magazine - and uses it to find and/or read things they're interested in - uses tags and categories in a consistent manner.

Here is a guide to using categories and tags, for both those who post the content and those who are here to read it.

Categories:

Categories are, as far as I am aware, created by administrators. They are intended to make finding a specific type of post easier. Our current set of categories looks like this:

Articles, with the subcategory Fandom

Fan Works (for fics, art, poetry, what have you)

Featured Pokémon (for the monthly articles on whichever critter is featured)

Humor, with the subcategory Top 5

Interviews, fictional and otherwise

Whoever posts an entry then chooses one or more appropriate categories to put the post under. Most of them will probably end up being under several categories, but it's super extra special important that they end up in the correct categories, and that they are not under "Uncategorized", which is a default category I can't remove from the list. This will make it infinitely easier for us to figure out what we've put up so far and for all readers to find what they want.

Please be careful when choosing categories, and if the categories for the content you've created or submitted or are about to post are unclear, discuss it with everyone before putting the content goes live on the magazine. New categories and subcategories can also be created - currently we really only have the categories we know we'll need. If you think a new one is needed, or an old one needs to go or be joined to another one, post here! It's all up for debate, as far as I am concerned.

Tags:

Tags aren't quite as rigid as the categories. Anyone who can post entries can add new tags, and it's relatively easy to fuse similar tags into one from the admin panel, so inconsistent usage (for instance, typing in "fanfiction", which then becomes a separate tag from "fan fiction" or "fan writing") isn't such a big deal. It's also pretty easy to remove completely unnecessary ones, so yeah, tags aren't quite the hassle categories are.

That said, we still want to have a sensible system with the tags, and that's what I'm asking you now. (Once we come up with one, I'll put it here in the first post.) Mainly, do we want a separate tag for all Pokémon, considering there's also a search feature? Do we want a tag per character? Do we want tags for the content creators? Or should we simply have tags for the general content matter of the post (i.e. "daycare" for the interview of the Daycare Lady, "pokéballs" for a rant about pokéballs, "fan writing" for an entry with writing hints)? What are your thoughts on this? Do you have any further questions/suggestions?

What is your life dream/ambition? Something you want to be/want to do/whatever, no matter how unrealistic it is?

For me, I've always wanted to be an MMA fighter in the UFC as the #1 P4P fighter in the world fighting in the middleweight division, completely crushing all my opponents then moving up to light heavyweight to dominate. Also I want to join Team Nogueira! I want to be a legend of the MMA sport. The whole lifestyle of training, eating, sleeping and fighting people for a living with partying and gaming in spare time just sounds FUN!

Unfortunately for me, I haven't got a job to afford training. Everyone is so tight these days on jobs, it's so hard to get one >=( but once I do, I'll start training for sure! Martial arts has always been my thing as a kid, I did Tae Kwon Do when I was younger and found it very fun.

So what about you guys, share your dreams/ambitions?

General gist - a guide to achiving well in Pokemon written by a Pokemon expert (I'm thinking Ace trainer sort of person ala the games). E.g. on article can be devoted to everything about battling, training and even Pokeballs...

A deliciously new idea from Jax! =p

Basically another thing to link to the Pokemon analysis articles - for each set of Pokemon a recipe or few can be proposed for them. Substitutes for them could be done (as in, use rl examples and substitute with Pokemon and Pokemon things (berries)) but in more unique cases (like, well, Wobbuffet and Wynaut) some more creativity would be in order.

So yay for morbid ideas! \o/ Thoughts/ideas, especially in regards to Wynaut/Wobbuffet?

Another thing - could act as if it written by a Snorlax with a chef hat and large spoon or something (which probably wouldn't be too hard for someone to draw). There's no game chef Pokemon characters that come to mind and the problem with Character of the Day ones from the anime is that they're not very memorable and would beg the question 'why not that CotD?', imo. Hence Snorlax. (Which would be interesting if we do Snorlax/Munchlax line too later on, heh).

And now, it all begins again.

I will give no great speech to commence the start of this story, because I don’t think there is any need for such a thing. While this is the completion of the Operation GEAR storyline, both of the previous installments were mainly introductions to the characters and world, and are absolutely not necessary to read first. The events of The Firestorm Rebellion and The Victory Star of Fate will be transcribed very early in this story as well.

As you can see, this story has a PG-15 rating. It will be tackling some darker material than what I usually do; among these subjects are cults, extremely unethical scientific experimentation, various types of discrimination, strongly implied sexual content and homelessness. In addition, war and mental illness may be touched on, there’s a plotline about a serial killer, and a plotline will have discussion of a character who was raped – before anyone jumps to conclusions about this just from reading that, I have literally put months of work and research into ensuring that the subject will be handled tastefully and respectfully, and I can promise that it is relevant, not simply included for edginess.

If you’re still with me after all of that, thank you. Now, buckle up and prepare as we spin a tale of many different quests gone completely wrong…
PROLOGUE: The Day an Angel Fell to Earth

-:-

October 9, 1987

“Come on, you lot, hold yourselves together!”

The young doctor, dressed sharply in an immaculate white lab coat, adjusted his glasses nervously as he surveyed the computers surrounding him. Many of the machines bore the same logo that was stitched onto the man’s breast pocket, a letter ‘P’ formed out of the red-and-yellow strands of a double helix.

All around him were monitors of the situation unfolding in an operating room directly linked to his lab. He was in charge of what was happening in the other room, and had to address the scientists under his command through a microphone affixed to the desk.

He knew the operation in the other room was going horribly simply from the barrage of noise coming back at him through the terminal’s speakers. The sounds of several men rushing about the room could be heard, but even louder than that were the alternating sounds of a woman screaming and then briefly gasping to try and catch her breath.

“Just keep at it, all of you,” the doctor said in an attempt to encourage his men, while nervously eyeing the screens monitoring the woman’s heart rate, blood pressure and temperature. “We’ve come too far now. There’s no turning back.”

One of the other scientists, an even younger man of about twenty-one, suddenly came crashing through the doorway partitioning the lab and operating room from each other. Before his overseer could ask him a single question, he had torn across the lab to a deep sink on the other side, where he loudly wretched up the contents of his stomach.

“Are you alright?!” This was a bad sign, and the doctor knew it. He had been assured that the team he was commanding was comprised of very well-trained scientific and medical professionals, so to see one of those very same people unable to handle their own job struck him deeply.

“It’s… it’s horrible...” The scientist was clearly deeply disturbed by what he had seen. He spoke in a shaking, terrified voice, and did not even turn to face his boss. “That thing is a monster… it’s parasitized the very fibers of her being… we never should have played God and done this…”

“Get a hold of yourself, boy! Stop speaking in riddles!”

“It’s not a riddle, Doctor Zager, it’s the truth… what we’ve done is create something completely and purely evil…”

Intrigued and greatly worried by the fearful comments of his team member, Dr. Zager ran his hand across his thick, brown moustache in thought. Unfortunately, his pensive moment was interrupted when alarms started sounding, drawing him back to the computer bank. The woman’s heart rate was becoming irregular, and her blood pressure was spiking.

“Finish what we started!” Dr. Zager barked through the microphone to the remaining scientists. “If she dies and the subject doesn’t survive, we didn’t accomplish anything! Her death will have been in vain!”

A very short amount of time later, the woman’s screaming suddenly stopped, but it was replaced by an even more chilling sound – the shrill, monotonous screech of the heart monitor now reading zero.

“Wait, wait…” a voice, belonging to another of Zager’s scientists, called out. Moments later, the sound of a small child crying started to filter through the speakers, leading the scientist to declare, “She’s alive! This subject actually survived!”

“We are all dead men walking,” commented the man who had vomited in Zager’s sink as he lifted himself from the basin. “We have done something that will destroy us all.” He barely managed to get those words out before fainting.

“So I see that Azrael has been brought into this world at last.”

Zager gasped and whipped around to face a large monitor mounted into the wall of his lab. On it, the head and shoulders of a man were displayed, but all of his features were completely obscured by shadows, leaving only the glowing circles of his glasses to distinguish him. In addition, when he spoke, a filter applied to his voice made it sound as if many people were speaking at once.

“Father, sir…” Zager had to pause briefly when his Joltik, a tiny yellow spider Pokémon, popped out of his sizable brown afro, but he quickly picked back up. “Father, sir, it seems as if we lost the vessel… were such measures truly necessary to do this?”

“She is the key to all of our goals. Gabriel, it’s about time you learned the truth. The true meaning about the purpose of Polaris… and the meaning of your mission, the Azrael Project.”

So Anni had the idea a while back to have a competition on the magazine to come up with a nickname for the Wynaut. Why not mae it a regular thing couple with the pokemon analysis? Have people post nicknames for the Pokemon on the forums/as comments in the actual magazine with a reason why (e.g. 'I say ___ because _____'), and a week or so later have a Name Rater rate those nicknames (in a potentially snarky manner).

Think it may be best to do this when we have an image for said Wynaut too in a updated banner for the Magazine, though.

Hi everybody! I'm involved on several other Pokemon-related boards, under the name "phoopes." I capitalized it here, for whatever reason. Anyway, the other forums that I'm on are Serebii, UPN, Smogon, and Evergrande City, so you might recognize me from one of those places. I do a bunch of different Pokemon-related stuff as well. I'm a competitive battler, write fan fiction, do Anime Style Battling, and play the games a lot. As for non-Pokemon related stuff, I'm a sports junkie, and have swam and played water polo for 10 year. I also make and write music, having played the piano for 11 years and the drums for six. I cam to BBS because <del>Wynaut?</del> the magazine looked cool, and I wanted to help in writing it.

So yeah, that's me in a nutshell.
