How active I'll be remains to be seen, but nice to meet you all all the same. My card. ;D
The General Application
Name: The artist formerly known as something other than Comedy of Circumstances but who now has, in fact, chosen to go by that name.
As for what those other names are...those who have business knowing do not need the explanation and those who need the explanation probably have no business knowing. ;D
Birthdate: Just narrowly dodging leap year. 27th of February.
Gender: See my profile for details.
Hobbies/Interests: Creative writing in general, roleplaying in particular, danmaku shooters, scouring image galleries, novelty card games, logic puzzles, and a whole bunch of other stuff I can't be bothered to mention right now. Also a major literature geek with a certain thing for Lit. Analysis.
Favorite Pokémon:
Cradily (It is a man-eating barnacle; pokémon just don't get much cooler than that. It has grown to be a very solid addition to any stat-buff/Sandstorm oriented team too.)
Victreebel (My first love. There's just something about man-eating plants that appeals to me.)
Unown (I'm not usually big on the gimmick pokémon, but these little things are just so adorable. I've had so many unfinished story ideas for them)
Shedinja (My favorite thing to annoy people with back when I was still doing the competitive gameplay shizz, and a lovely concept to boot. Another one that has given me all kinds of writing ideas.)
Favorite Type:
Steel. Got to love steel. Extremely sturdy defensive type that can take a lot of punishment. So many currently useless pokémon could have been saved if only they had been left as pure Steel.
Favorite Aspect:
Once upon a time I would have said the games, but that part of the franchise is heading further and further away from user-friendliness and playability in the direction of sloppy writing/planning work and useless bling bling.
So yeah, I'm going to go ahead and say it's those blessed fanfiction/roleplay writers out there who do not suck at what they do. I love you guys.
Other Fandoms I Follow: Actively, Touhou, Yu-gi-oh!, the No Naku Koro Ni animes/mangas. Gone through a whole bunch, but since they're concluded franchises they don't really count. Also a big fan of Miyazaki's works, but really...who isn't?
Literature...I'll give anything by Iain M. Banks, Terry Pratchett, or Douglas Adams a read. Like Zadie Smith's and Ursula LeGuin's stuff too, just to name a few.
Bands and movies and such, eh...I am more inclined to like individual songs than actual bands and I don't indulge in movies often enough to really make a call on it.
Five Random Things About Me:
1. I am legally qualified to use an assault rifle.
2. I watch Yu-gi-oh! 5Ds purely because the people pointing out what an utter disgrace to anime writing it is entertain me so much.
And yes, it really does suck that bad. Don't watch. Ever. Card games on motorbikes are just the tip of the stupidity iceberg.
3. I have a particular aversion to people using 'shined' incorrectly.
4. One of my ancestors from my father's side was the last Russian tsar's babysitter.
5. My memory is impeccable as long as it's a matter of old trivia that holds little to no practical value for anyone.

Pokémon Profile
Type: Steel/Ghost (When I take a stand on an issue I tend to be hard to budge one way or the other, hence Steel type. On the other hand, I tend to just flit around different things for quite a while before I make up my mind on them, which brought up Ghost type in my mind.)
Abilities: Intimidate (I get this, a lot, so...boo =P)/Sturdy (I have yet to see anyone who can OTKO me on an issue)
Nature: Quirky (...apparently. Call it the 'bit of this, bit of that' nature.)
Natural Habitat: Any areas designated for creative writing, card games or philosophical debate. May stray into anime speculation/discussion if other viable outlets are scarce.
Stats
HP: I'm calling base stat 90. I've gone through my 3-AM wake-up calls and invasion practices, thank you very much. That being said, I'm not a fitness-crazy athlete either, so I wouldn't put it beyond that.
Attack: Hmm...base stat 70. I've been told by quite a few that I have an aggressive debating style, but I'm really a pacifist at heart and don't particularly feel like hurting any particular person. I aim for the arguments; not for the person presenting them.
Defense: Calling 80 base here. I can hold my own in a debate as well as any, but I'm not the type of person who huddles in a corner of the room going 'pleasedonthitme' either and it takes a specific kind of argument for me to really put my guard up.
Special: Base stat 120. This is another one of the things I hear a lot of from a lot of people, and I do feel that creative work is my strong suit so I'm going go right ahead and say so too.
Speed: Base stat 50. I'll admit it. I can do on-the-fly stuff if it is really called for, but I prefer to take my time with things and think them through first. Patience is a virtue.

Shadow Sneak (My writing creativity is at its best late night, this comes with the territory)
Nasty Plot (You don't want to be one of my characters. Let's just leave it at that.)
Extrasensory (I can sense bad plot twists from a mile away)
