It's not as good as the title sounds. *:D

So we had a bit of a talk about you guys making themes, a while ago in the staff forum. We didn't really get very far and for this I apologise.

However, sometime an upgrade of vBulletin 4.0 will be in the works for us, and we really do need to do that upgrade because of security and other things like that. If I leave software unpatched and outdated, it leaves the board and its hosting server open for attack, and nobody likes that. Especially the lovely hosting company.

Will my existing styles and add-ons still work?
Because of the new vBulletin 4.0 Template Engine, pre-4.0 styles will not work with vBulletin 4.0. Add-ons may or may not work, depending on which functions they use.

How do I convert my existing Styles to the new vB4 Style?
Since the underlying markup has been converted from the old table-based structure to semantic XHTML, styles have to be re-created from scratch for vB4.

With this in mind, we are going to have what I call a "change freeze".

Long and short of it, no new themes will be accepted or made by me until we have 4.0, I have figured out the new way themes are done, converted our old ones, and we have had another discussion in the staff forum about accepting submissions from the users.
