Which are the Pokémon with the most interesting concept in your opinion? This can include the legends surrounding the Pokémon, their species name (e.g. Absol the Disaster Pokémon), their appearance (e.g. the numerous forms of Unown) or anything about them, basically.
For me, the most interesting Pokémon (that I can think of), are Shedinja and Rotom. Rotom because it's an electric ghost that possesses household appliances and apparently lives off electricity in a weird, prankster-y way. Also, the appearance off Rotom is fairy-like, and when you originally fight it, the battle music for Sinnoh's legendaries plays. I find this really intriguing, and I've felt like writing a oneshot centered around Rotom for a while.
Shedinja is interesting because it's essentially a shed skin that came to life. As its Pokedex entries state, it never moves aside from floating from one place to another. A legend says that if a human looks into the hole on its back, their soul is sucked in. It can't be hurt without making it faint on a single hit, as it's immune for everything but super effective moves and has only 1 HP. Always. Creepy, huh? It makes for a sort of cool, creepy ghost-story material, and not a bad one at that. I really feel like writing about Shedinja, as well. How exactly does a totally immobile, empty living shell communicate? How did it come alive? Why can it only be hit with some moves? Innnnttriguing.
So, discuss. What has made you think of stuff like this while playing/watching the anime/reading one of the mangas?
